How to separate earlier generations
The years 1974 to 1980 were marked by a very rapid development of the hang glider. From the simple delta shape of the standard Ragallo the planform evolved into one with true wings. The introduction of deflexers and battens to define the sail shape and later the introduction of sail shaping brought the glider every higher performance. A certain amount of overlapping of the generations occured during this hectic period so inevitably there will be gliders exhibiting features from the generation before or after. However by clicking above you will be able to view a list of categories which will give a reasonable idea of where a glider comes in the order of development.
